I have known Redman for many years , we worked together on some major projects in Albert and Saskatchewan, I had the pleasure of having him as a great friend and I will always think of him in the highest regard, Rest in peace by Brother.

My condolences ri Brent's family and friends.
I met Brent in 2008, through his common-law partner Julia. Julia and i went to Collage together.
At the time Brent was working up in Fort Mac, Yet almost every time Brent came into town he would ask Julia to invite me to dinner on one of the nights he was home. On such occasions Brent would Roast some chicken, Beef, or pork for dinner.
It would be 2 or 3 roasts of whatever Brent cooked for dinner.
Brent would send me home, to my kids, with what ever meat was left. Brent would use the excuse telling me that he will not eat left overs. That the roast would just wind up in the garbage if i did not take it with me.
Brent knew I was a proud single mother. Brent in his kind way never made me feel like it was charity. He always made it look and feel like I was doing him the favor.
When i was losing my home, Brent lent me a grand to help me out. Just like that, no time frame just a pay me back when you can.
Another time while Brent was working in Canmore, Alberta, I stayed with Brent to watch Nicholas while Brent was at work during the day. I became "the nanny" so Brent would be able to spend more time with his son.
Such a fun time in Canmore.
One evening Nicholas was playing inside the basketball court which was about 20 paces from Brent's patio in Canmore.
Nicholas had his basketball and tricycle in the court playing.
Two pretty asian females and one male joined Nicholas in/at the court too. I believe the three were family. They happily played with Nicholas. The sisters and brother were in their late teens
As i was sitting watching the teenagers playing with Nicholas Brent comes outside from the apartment.
It came time for the teens to go, Nicholas wanted them to stay, but they had to go.
So Nicholas asked for a hug. All 3 teenagers gave Nicholas a hug.
One of the 2 gals got Nicholas's attention and he wanted not just a hug but a kiss as well.
So as she hugged Nicholas, he puts his 3 year old hands on the gals cheeks; and pulls her in for a kiss. Lol
Brent and I were both watching and I started to laugh. Teasing Brent that his son was doing better then him, and perhaps Brent needed to take note on how putting the moves on was done. Brent should take some lessons from his son.
We both made more jokes and laughed.
Brent was a good, solid, special heart, full of love; Always full mischief and a lot of fun. Lots of laughter, and a dearly loved man.
I will miss Brent Collins forever
As for my sweet lad Nicholas Collins your father did not just love you, he adored you luvey.

He was a great friend ... I will miss him more than I already have as I haven't seen him for many years .
I am proud of the life he carved out for himself as I well know good things don't come easy.

I was devastated when I heard. Redman was one of my favourite people in this world. He helped a ton of people and he will be remembered as one of the good ones. He will truly be missed!!
