Dear Family: in sorrow we heard about the passing of Ewa. My last memory was seeing her at the funeral of your matriarch mother, Janina, and the warmth of the bond shared between the entire family in its multigenerational glory. You were all together in your shared grief. Ewa was strong that day, pulling the threads and stitching the stories together with the laughter and the tears. She will be missed. Blessings to you all.

Oh Ev, you’ve been there all my life. Through joy and sorrow, laughter and tears, good times and some not so good – you’ve always been there. I thought we had a lot more time together.
I always admired your enthusiasm, strong-will, perseverance, and independence. You’ve worked so hard all your life, never giving up. I will always remember some of the truest words you spoke "well if you don't try, you'll never know" - they will stick with me forever. You were such an inspiration to so many. I’m so proud of everything you’ve done.
You will always be my sister and I will always love you.
Peace be with you my dear sister.

Auntie Eva,
It breaks my heart, I wasn't given the opportunity to be there for you, in your time of need. Especially, when you've always been there for everyone. You were the most amazing, caring, understanding and so very strong-willed. I learnt so much from you growing up, and more over the years.
I am blessed with so many memories of you, that I will cherish. Recently, In December of 2022 we reflected back on some of those memories, it was nice. You were a huge part of my life growing up.
I remember the excitement I would have when I was a little girl going to auntie Eva's house or when you would come for a surprise visits. Later on in life, It gave me so much joy, as I got older and my children would have the same excitement when they saw you, and to see your great-great neices with the same excitement.
I am going to miss you so much auntie Eva. I love you always and forever my butterfly angel

Eva
I will always cherish the times we spent with you while we lived in Edmonton all those years ago. You were always just a phone call away. I remember the fun we all had together on the farm sitting around the kitchen table laughing and enjoying each other. Neighbors would just drop in for a visit. You would get up to the stove and start cooking for everyone. You made the most amazing meals with fresh vegetables from your garden. Everything you did was with great care. You always made people feel welcome and important.
Your warm giving spirit will always be with me.
I love and miss you Eva

Auntie Eva,
I don't even know where to beginning. I can not believe that your time with us has come to an end, you were such an important part of my life and I am so grateful for all the wonderful memories we shared. You were not only my Aunite but my Godmother. They say an Aunt is a double blessing - you love like a parent and act like a friend, and you were just that! Since I was born you were always there for me, motivating me, sharing little things with me. I knew you were someone I could turn to when I needed some guidance or just needed to talk. Sometimes you forget the little things in life when you are so used to having them there. I talk often about all the times I spent at the farm with you and uncle Dennis and getting to spend weeks in the summer with you. I always admired how hard you worked and those zucchini's.. nobody could grow a garden like you! And your cooking, ughhh, I'm going to miss your cooking. I was actually just making something you had always made for us. The whole time I was saying to Charles, I'm channeling my Auntie Eva right now, *fingers crossed* it works out like yours and they turned out so good. I was just telling him all about you and how excited I was for you to meet him. My heart is so very broken that I didn't get the chance to say a proper goodbye, but I do know that you will always be by my side and forever in my heart. An even though I would trade anything in this world to have you back here with us, I take comfort in knowing that you are with Bubcia and everyone on the other side watching down on us. I am going to miss you.
I love you very much Auntie Eva.
Until we meet again,
Janelle Xoxo

Dear Auntie Ev,
Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed hearing memories and stories when you and your siblings were younger, and how even your brothers saw you as a strong but caring person who always looked out for them. I have not for one moment lost that image of you and have always looked up to you and admired you as my great! Auntie. Thank you for all your great advice and care.
Peace and love from my heart.

My dear Auntie Eva, I am saddened that I never got to say goodbye. You were a wonderful aunt and I'll treasure all the memories growing up.
I am so grateful for the last summer we got together, as it was a summer with the whole family in one place in a very long time.
Thank you for all the amazing head pieces you made for my wedding party and the most beautiful veil you made for me. I promise to love and cherish for it forever.
I love you, and we'll all miss you so much.
Rest in peace, Auntie Eva ♡
Love,
Stephanie, Jesse, Savannah, and Sierra

Oh Eva, you were a big part of my youth. We would all meet for coffee in Edmonton and talk for hours. I was always so shy and you had such an outgoing nature. I always admired that about you.
