GRANT, “Gonzo”
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of our dear friend and Best Dad Ever, Uncle, Brother & Best Friend Gonzo.
He was Born May 3, 1959 in Petrolia Ontario, Gordon Clifford Grant was known and always introduced himself as simply “Gonzo.” Gonzo worked in the building trades as a Scaffolder for over 35 years on projects all over Ontario & Western Canada.
An avid Biker, Gonzo loved his Harley Davidson’s affectionately known as “The Grey Goose” & “The Orange Bitch”.
Gonzo loved Riding and spending time with his “Bros” and many close friends, He loved to tinker in his shop with his vast collection of tools and gadgets, He loved a good smoulder (his term for a joint) and a good James Patterson Book. However, his all-time favourite thing to do was to spend time with “The Kids” his beloved daughter “Goober” Amanda and Wes who he affectionately referred to as “My Boy”.
Gonzo was a Pay it Forward kind of guy. He was extremely generous and caring, especially when others were in a tough spot he was right there offering his love and support.
His Big Smile and one-of-a-kind sense of humour will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gonzo is survived by his precious daughter Amanda & Wes; sisters Laurie Hume & Liane Beland; brothers Jake, Craig and Dennis. Gonzo was predeceased by his Pride and Joy his Beloved Son Robbie who he affectionately called “Bocephus”, Parents, Arnold James Grant & Janice (Rundle) Grant; brother Mark Stanley Grant Gonzo
Cremation has taken place as per Gonzo’s wishes.
