Growing up in the sixties I and every one of my friends wanted to be Ed Kassian. He had it all - he was the total package. He was universally respected because of his athletic accomplishments and for the way he conducted himself. In our eyes Ed Kassian was a legend, and quite frankly, that hasn't changed.
The hockey team on high just got better with your arrival.

RIP Eddie Kassian ,#7 Vegreville Rangers....I don't think I/we can overestimate how important a figure you were to the Hockey Loving Vegreville fans...and an inspirational player to many minor hockey players from PeeWee to Bantam, to Midget to Juvenile....and dare I say, tho my memories may be a bit blurred, I seem to recall you having the sole possession of 'Kassian's Office' long before it became that other guys....You really lit it up for us on a game by game basis....Thanks for the great plays and the great memories.
