Would it be amiss for me to say, “George loved to hunt, fish, golf, and travel, ‘but most of all he loved Liz.’” Heartfelt condolences go out to lovely Liz who complemented him so well, as well as to all his family and friends. George was just a genuine, solid, good human being. He was an interested conversationalist and could find common ground to talk no matter who you were. He leaves behind a significant legacy as an administrator. He was committed, intelligent, insightful, honest, and approachable.
Sincerely, Lorraine Andruchow

Liz, I was very saddened to hear of George's passing. We spent our entire 12 years of school in the same class and road the bus together for many years. George was always a very joyful youth and helping classmate. It appears his adult life was the same. May he rest in peace and may his memory be helpful in healing your grief.
In deepest sympathy, Len Logozar

Sincerest sympathy to Mr. Sebest's family on the loss of George. Over the past many years, I have often reflected on the impact that Mr. Sebest had on me and my professional growth. George was instrumental in hiring me to my first assignment as an administrator for the County of Minburn - back in 1993. This opportunity launched my 29 year career in leadership and administration - thanks in no small part to the kindness, advice, coaching and mentoring George invested in me. Of particular impact upon me, was that each time we met, we would reflect on the pride we shared in our Ukrainian heritage. Rest in Peace Mr. Sebest, you taught so many, so much!

Several years we happened to meet and kipitz about our Birthdays- 1 day apart, same month, same year. George was like a brother to me as we would joke at each other in a sibling kind of way. He will be missed but always in my thoughts on our Birthdays.
A most likeable and trustworthy friend. So sorry Liz, that you have lost your life mate.

My sincere condolences to you Liz. ❤️ I hold many special memories of Mr. Sebest as my teacher and principal. May your memories created over the years with him bring you some comfort through this difficult time.

LIZ -to you, we wish to express our heartfelt sympathy and are deeply saddened by George's passing. We
are remembering how we first met in Jamaica and formed an instant bond of friendship which has lasted over forty years. Immediately, we found common ground from our farming upbringings with Ukrainian roots to our professions in the field of Education. Together, we have cruised the oceans, relaxed in warm destinations, fished on Lake Winnipeg, and golfed in the mountains. But mostly, we have fond memories of our yearly visits to each other's homes. We have truly shared a lot of wonderful times together. We will keep these fond memories in our hearts as we remember George. Please know that our thoughts now are with you, Liz, and the rest of your extended family, in these difficult days ahead. John and Linda Szklaruk (Gypsumville, Manitoba)

We will miss him immensely as we recall his special humor, our many visits to your place and beautiful outdoor dining experiences in the warm August evenings held in your backyard with friends. We also have fond memories of our golf games played in many different golf courses over the years. We shared a lot of great times and wine together.
