Obituary of Nicholas David Gidlow

Nicholas David Gidlow Nick was born December 25th, 1979 in St. Catharines, Ont. His Mum was Lucille Joanna Gidlow (nee Murphy),father is David E. Gidlow. Nick’s Mum passed away in 1984 and since then his Mum has been Gilla Gidlow. Nick’s sister is Ivy Schaapman (Jay), also of Edmonton. Nick was a loving son and found the love of his life with his partner Jolene Patrie. Nick attended junior and high school in Edmonton and also obtained two qualifications at NAIT, in culinary arts and then chemical engineering. He worked for many years at John Crane (Canada). Nick was always positive and enthusiastic and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. He was active in sports including soccer, t-ball and softball and was a big fan of the Oilers. He had a deep and abiding love for animals, including three cats, Alex, Precious and Tito and, latterly a beautiful dog named Gary. Nick was loved by all who knew him, and will be much missed. “He brought us joy and we loved him well.”
