Courtney; you will always be
missed. She had been a co-worker of mine when I was employed at St. Micheal's Manor in Vegreville, married our neighbor boy, Michael, and was my hairdresser at the present time. Courtney and myself texted each other the last time on June 5th;we practically were each other's rock. We were ill, both hospitalized, suffering from different illnesses.Being ill and living with a pandemic, was and is, a struggle in itself, just to keep alive; when you have an illness to deal with. Courtney, you will definitely be remembered as a warrior.

Where to begin…
If there was ever a woman who had the ability to light up a room so much so that you simply looked forward to the next time you’d see her big smile and open arms, Courtney was her. Some might say it was in her profession, but those who were blessed enough to really know her know that she was just that kind, her heart was just that big and she was just that beautiful all of the time. And the truth is that anyone who graced her chair was just that much more fortunate to have someone as hilarious and comforting as she was talented.
I made a friend in Courtney being close in age, becoming a client of hers and starting families at the same time. Over the years we bonded over everything from small town problems to figuring out how to mother our ever-growing children. No matter what the topic of conversation was it always came easy because she was just the type of person you wanted to be around and she always saw things for what they were with a side of eternal optimism. Her outlook on life was inspiring and refreshing and I feel incredibly blessed to have been able to call her a friend.
Our community and the hearts of those who knew and loved her will never be the same, and we all fail to understand why life is so damn flawed and unfair. I think of her every single day and will be forever indebted that her life and death she has taught me to never take a single moment for granted and that life is what you make of it. I believe she lived and loved by that every day which is just one of the countless ways she was such an inspiration.
My heart goes out to you: Michael, Drayson, Dallin, Genevieve, Kendall, Connie and all of her family and friends. Know that the rest of us will never let her be forgotten and she showed us all what it is to truly love life.
I miss her dearly
Sincerely,
Lisa, Davin, Lyric, Harlow & Emery Gegolick

I met Courtney and her siblings all at once when I started lifeguarding with them. Im a fairly outgoing person once you get to know me, but if I'm the new kid on the block, I am like a wallflower. Sitting and talking to Courtney every week during swim club and realizing we had a lot in common and a lot of friends in common, I slowly felt it was easier to be myself. It was impossible not to feel yourself blossom when you were in her sunlight. And that's how I always think of her - as a joyous ray of sunshine. So to Kendall, Robin, Courtney's husband and kids, her parents and everyone else who is hurting now, I am going to turn my face to the sun when I miss her beauty and love.
