STONEHOUSE (Basiuk), Lisa
June 16, 1968 – May 1, 2021
Words cannot describe the heartache that comes with announcing the tragic passing of Lisa Ann Basiuk Stonehouse. Lisa suddenly passed away on May 1, 2021, in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 52. She will be dearly missed by her precious daughter Jordan and devoted parents Beverly and Orest Basiuk, as well as extended family and close friends. Lisa was predeceased by Morrie Stonehouse, her beloved husband of 17 years, in January 2019.
Lisa was fiercely proud of her family of three, and savoured every moment enjoying their vacations, concerts, sports, and endeavours. One of her enduring qualities was her unconditional love and support as a mom. Jordan meant the world to Lisa. She truly was so proud of what Jordan had already accomplished in her athleticism and her academics at such a young age.
Lisa loved to travel, making three trips to Egypt, and was so looking forward to making her next trip with Jordan. She loved her two cats, Harley and Timmy; they could always be found stealing cuddles from Lisa or playing with her hair.
Lisa’s presence brought with it so much love, comfort and fun. She was resilient, generous and always put her friends before herself. Her selfless demeanor and infectious laugh made it hard for people not to enjoy being around her. She made lifelong friends working at Woodward’s, Direct Line Insurance, and through her home business accounting services.
Lisa’s life will be celebrated with a private viewing time, which can be arranged by contacting Autumn Rose Funeral Home at 780-603-5800.
