Obituary of Elsie Semaniuk

SEMANIUK, Elsie (nee Skubleny)

August 1, 1921 – December 14, 2019

On Saturday, December 14, 2019, Elsie Semaniuk of Lamont, Alberta passed away at the age of 98 years.

Elsie is survived by her son, Leonard (Phyllis) of Fort Saskatchewan and daughter, Marilyn (Dwayne) Woychuk of Calgary; three grandchildren, Sonya (Rebecca) Semanuik-Rogers of Mississauga, Mark (Kristin) Woychuk of Calgary and Brian (Kaitlin) Woychuk of Calgary; two great grandchildren, Zachary Semanuik of Edmonton and Robert Woychuk of Calgary; granddaughter-in-law Marilyn Matsuoka; one brother Stanley (Pauline) Skubleny and one sister, Mary Hrycyk.  Elsie was predeceased by her husband Steve in 1988; grandson, Joseph Semanuik; brothers Father Basil Skubleny OSBM and Anton Skubleny; sisters Janet Nakoneczny and Helen Lynn.

A Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church at Star-Peno with Father Bohdan Nahachewsky officiating.  Interment to follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Parish at Star-Peno.”
