Christine reached out to me and my sons when my husband Jim died in 2012. They had worked together at Atco. I really appreciate what she did, as it was a very tough time. She even treated us to a weekend at Jasper Park Lodge in the spring of 2013. Yesterday I wanted to look her up again, to see how she was doing it was only then that I learned that she had passed away in 2014. I remember now I was travelling at the time, and didn't see the announcement. I remember Christine as a really open and giving person, who was not afraid to take a chance and reach out to me. Realistically, most people avoid widows in the early days!!! (We can be an unpredictable lot!) however, Christine soldiered ahead. Forever grateful for this. Rest in peace.
