ROMANIUK, Jean

March 2, 1921 – September 27, 2017

On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, Jean Romaniuk of Borschiw, Alberta passed away at the age of 96 years.

Jean is survived by her loving family, her husband of 76 years, Walter; one daughter and two sons Joyce Holowaychuk, Jim (Kitty) Romaniuk and Barry Romaniuk; daughter-in-law Rhonda Romaniuk; 8 grandchildren Colin Holowaychuk, Jamie (Troy) Dzenkiw, Tyrone (Nicki) Romaniuk, Candace (Lou) Proctor, Nicholas, Lee, Megan and Sage Romaniuk; 6 great-grandchildren Cassidy and Taylor Proctor, Austin and Aiden Romaniuk, Ava Erickson and Kaidence Dzenkiw; along with numerous relatives and friends.  Jean was predeceased by her son Leon Romaniuk; son- in-law John Holowaychuk; parents Metro and Michelena Ogrodnick; siblings Mike, Paul and Joe (Doris) Ogrodnick, Mary (Harry) Rurka, Anne (Bill) Rurka, Dora (Mike) Bilyk, Margaret (Hilmer) Olsen, Barbara (Steve) Kozak and Alice (Michael) Mulick.

A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church- Borschiw with Father Jim Nakonechny officiating.  Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the Borschiw Cemetery Fund.
