Obituary of Louis Macahonic

MACAHONIC, Louis August 14, 1929 – December 26, 2014 On Friday, December 26, 2014, Louis Macahonic of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 85 years. Louis is survived by his loving family, his wife of 61 years, Alice; two sons and one daughter Gary (Kim) along with their children Scott and Tara (Brendan): Adele (Ron) along with their sons Brett, Mathew (Paige) and Braden: and Dave (Leah) along with their children Randelle, Jordan and Lauren; two sisters Jean (Carl) Eliasson and Ionne (Jerry) Rudy; one sister in law Lil Macahonic. Louis was predeceased by his parents Tony and Annie Macahonic along with one brother John. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta where a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Basilian Fathers officiating with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation –Pancreatic Cancer Research” or to “Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church – Vegreville.”
