Albert and I didn't make memories as such, because let's face it, when I came on the scene, he was looking at leaving the nest. So mine are snippets of Albert.......
...the little smirk on his face when he wasn't telling the whole truth or trying to pull a fast one
...the time he, cousin Dennis and I went to Wostok for bread in the '57 dodge. He took that curve a little to fast. I remember flying around in the back seat along with the bread. They were laughing their heads off.
...listening to his 45 record of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire over and over and over again.
...I would watch him get ready for a dance or a date. He would comb and brylcream his hair until it was just perfect.
...he would wash, wax and polish the car until you could probably spot it from outerspace.
...he taught me and my cousin how to dance. I felt so proud when he danced with me at weddings.
...the thing I most remember is that I became known as "Albert's little sister". Even as an adult, if I was trying to explain my family roots to someone, all I had to say was "Well, do you know Albert Koroluk?". Immediately they would make the connection.
When I get to the Pearly Gates, St. Peter won't find my name under the G's, but in the A's for Albert's little sister. And that's alright with me.
As time went on, we took different paths, he building a farming empire, and I pursuing education and career. Interestingly, we both married into families with many siblings, an insight for both of us.
Life got busy, each raising families and working to keep the bills paid. We managed to get together on some special occasions and milestones. Maybe not enough.
Albert didn't venture far from home very often, but as each season changed, it would bring my thoughts to him and what he might be up to...tilling, seeding, spraying, harvesting, fixing, or trucking. That love for the farming life kept him close to home.
Dear Stephanie, Brant, Kim, Brett, and Ryan:
Albert was such a constant in your lives, and now you must carry on without him. And carry on you will. Lean on the lessons he taught you, learn from the examples he set, and keep the love he had for all of you in your hearts.
To my big brother, Albert, wherever your next journey takes you, I wish you rest, peace, and love.
Your "little sister, Gale"

My deepest condolences to you Stephanie and your family. It was a shock to hear that Albert passed away. I have a lot of good memories . Albert was always so kind and pleasant to talk too. I grew up helping him at Uncle Johns and Aunt Sophies, especially at harvest time. In a way he is my mentor because I loved the farm and ended up farming years later. A great man gave me encouragement. Albert will always be with us in the memories that we cherish.

For 20 years I was blessed to call you my father in law❤️…. Thank you for being such a wonderful Gido and role model to Cole and Brett. I know they love you with all their hearts, and are very proud to carry on the Koroluk name. I can only imagine the “chats” you’re having with Cole up in Heaven! I know Brett will do his best to honour your legacy also. Give Cole a big hug for me please! Until we meet again, rest easy. You will always be missed and never forgotten! Memory eternal❤️❤️.
