To the family of Peter Traudt I am so sorry to see that Peter has made his celestial transfer. I have fond memories of Peter, although our paths did not cross often. But he made me realize that a gesture, so simple, and benign, will always resonate with that individual for as long as they live. My initial, brief encounter with Mr. Traudt was well over 50 years ago, as a student nurse. A very shy student, to say the least. He was one of my 'firsts', meaning that my assignment with Mr. Traudt, was my first patient contact where I carried out a procedure that I had never done before. Fast forward, 30 plus years, where we met at a function at the Social Centre. There was a group of us gathered, and I happened to be in the company of Mr. Traudt. I turned to Peter, holding out my hand and saying "Hello, Mr. Traudt!" "I don't know if you remember me..." to which he responded, "Oh! Yes, I do remember you!." " You were the nurse that washed my hair". So...my Dear Peter...I will remember you,... for always. I am truly grateful for that experience. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Peter...I will miss seeing you and your red electric scooter.
