Between 2002-2020, I had the pleasure of serving Mr Earl at the Plaza Restaurant as well as at Leonel's Place in Vegreville. He made sure to enquire about my son, at every interaction. He always shared his life stories and was quite interesting. He has left a lasting impression on me and I will cherish our talks forever. Thank you for being in my life. xoxo

Dear Graham & Pat & family.
We will always remember your dad when he would come to visit you in Drumheller. He was always so friendly and had stories to tell. The most memorable thing was he would go riding around the neighborhood on one of the kids bikes at the young age of 80 years old. Our thoughts & prayers are with you at this time. I know he will be missed!

I knew Earl when I worked for Alberta Power and from our first meeting knew he was a genuine caring and thoughtful person. Earl had a great personality and was quick to have conversations with you. Dear Family. I’ll remember Earl as a true gentleman who participated in the Vegreville United church whilst I was a congregant there. I can see him in my mind’s eye hoisting the flag on special ceremonies at the Pysanka park. He was always ready with a smile and a comment when out riding his bike. A dear sweet soul. He was one of the Legion members who dropped off Christmas goodies to us Veteran’s wives, too. Rest In Peace. Sincere condolences to all of you.

My fondest memories of Uncle Earl are his “arrivals”. He would fly circles over our house, tip his wings, & land at the local airstrip. A few minutes later he would be at our front door. Then the fun began!
Generosity, service & “surprise” were hallmarks of his life!

Sincerest condolences to Earl’s family. I met Earl when I was principal of Mundare School and the air cadets held their regular meetings in the school every Tuesday. Earl was always working with/for the cadets and was very approachable when we had to discuss matters of concern to the school and the cadets. I was impressed with his calm demeanour and the courteous way he dealt with people. May he rest in peace

I’m saddened to hear of Mr. Giffin’s passing. As a young lad in Air Cadets, Earl was instrumental in helping me become the leader I am today. He was always firm but always fair and consistent. He was always so proud of his service to our military and always ready to share a story. Even into the later years, you could always count on Earl for a great story. He told every story with pride, confidence and with a smile on his face.
Earl is a shining example of a live well lived. RIP Sir! Go fly in heavens!
