My sincerest condolences to Mrs Soldan’s family and her grandchildren Lara, Leanne and Leighton.
I will always remember Mrs Soldan’s pretty smile- she ALWAYS looked so beautiful!
Mrs Soldan was a good neighbor, living just down our street and also had a cabin close to us out at Garner Lake. She was always so friendly and generous in offering her delicious baking. She was welcoming and fun to visit, even when her cabin was under water!
I also remember how Mrs Soldan made me feel so special when she spoke to me- she would remember our last conversation (even if it was a year previous) and show such interest in how I was doing.
Mrs Soldan was one classy lady! God bless her for all she did to make Vegreville a better place to be!
May she rest in peace in heaven.

Our deepest condolences to Debbie, Doug & family.
We will always remember Anne and her generous hospitality. Anne was always smiling and so friendly! We have many good memories of Anne and her family when they had a cabin at Garner Lake. Anne taught us how to pick ‘oyster’ mushrooms from across the road in the farmers field. They were so big! When Anne cooked them up in butter and onions, they tasted just like oysters! So delicious!
We also have many fun memories of gathering for the RCMP Christmas Ball. Everyone wore their finest clothes and oh the fun we had, laughing and dancing!
Anne was a fine lady. May God rest her soul as she is welcomed into the arms of Jesus in heaven.

Anne Soldan was our next door neighbour on "Hospital Ave" and a dear friend of my mother's. The Soldan's and our family moved to the south end of the town in 1962 and we lived across the street from each other there too. I recall how hard Anne worked. She was always moving, always doing something. She was an avid volunteer, Justice of the Peace (!) and ran her gift and engraving shop, again located a couple of doors down from my parent's hardware store. She and mom would often have a cup of coffee late at night, 11 pm which was when Anne was ready to relax. I recall visiting and waiting for Anne to arrive. She explained that she had been weeding her beautiful garden using a miner's light as she was just so busy during the day. I admired her so much. Rest in Peace Anne. My condolences to Debbie and Doug, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her husband, George and all the friends who were touched by her kindness. Linda Craddock

Mrs. Soldan will always have a very special place in my heart! One of many, many special memories is being in Vegreville for a visit with Mom at Mrs. Soldan's. We were enjoying the very common event of a late night coffee with a sweet square treat that Mrs. Soldan had baked. Realizing it was now after 10 pm, I thought it best to get back to Edmonton. Funny how the night was just beginning for those ladies! Those late night sweet treats they baked and coffee was just the fuel for them to start making cabbage rolls! :)
Mrs. Soldan always looked fabulous while finding time for work, baking, cooking. She taught me, by example, the importance of family, friends and faith. Her faith has taught me to also have faith and I know from recently talking to her that she was comfortable with her next chapter of life.
Mrs. Soldan.....I am baking you a peanut butter square to share at your Celebration of Life. I know you will be watching.
Love and hugs to Debbie and Doug from Marla and Mom, Emily Bradshaw.
Mrs. Soldan was such a very, very special friend to Mom!

Our deepest sympathies to your family. We had the pleasure of sharing meals and enjoying her company many times at Dale and Molly’s. As well, when Grant and I married, she was so kind to host a bridal shower in her home for me, I will never forget her kindness and smiling face.

I will always remember Anne for the gracious and kind lady she was. I first met her on Ukarian Christmas Eve 1994 where I enjoyed a beautiful meal as guest with Nettie and Matt Sorochan . She welcomed me into her home with such warmth and kindness.
I have always treasured the memory of that meal and the kindness that was shown to me.
Rest in peace Anne
