My Auntie Mary, who was always so young at heart. I believe I learned my driving habits from her.

Auntie Mary was one of the coolest Aunties and going to visit them whether it was Edmonton, Grimshaw or Stoney Lake was always a thrill you never knew what was going to happen but you knew it was likely fun and exciting. The way she welcomed Shirley into the family and treated her so well will never be forgotten we still have perennials at home from the house in Stoney Lake that she insisted Shirley have. She will be sadly missed but the memories she has left us all with will never fade. Love you Auntie

When I was at Keg River with both Aunt Mary and Uncle Nick what a great experience that was I learned soooo much from the both of them
Aunt Mary Bernadette and I would go wild strawberry picking every once in awhile spend the afternoon picking U know there so dam small but there sure was a lot of them We would pick a couple ice cream pails full So Aunt Mary would make jam oh nothing like it We had so much fun up there even though we slept in a round grain bin and cooked over an open fire took a bath or went for a swim in Keg River or at a dugout Will never forget those days

One of my earliest memories of Auntie Mary is from a family visit when the Cymnaluk family lived in Grimshaw. Auntie Mary had the most incredible beehive hairdo that she must have spent hours creating. To me she was glamorous like Audrey Hepburn in ‘A Breakfast at Tiffany’s’. What I found intriguing was her nightly ritual for keeping her hair pristine, wrapping the entire do in toilet paper! I know she had other beauty secrets but this is my favourite. I remember her always smiling, teasing, giving her attention to others making us feel included and special. Recently during a conversation with my Dad, her brother Mike, about life and living he said, “You either were or you weren’t.” Auntie Mary, you definitely were! You will be fondly remembered and missed. Love Pam
