I knew Gail from when she came to present a Ukrainian cross-stitch course on ada cloth at the Hairy Hill School library.k She was exceptional and mine and others turned out to qualify for judging at the Vegreville Fair.
She will certainly be missed by the communities (diasperas) she worked with.
We are sorry for Len and Family for the loss of Gail.

Gail was such an inspiration as a colleague, wife, and entrepreneur. I marveled at her energy when she shared what she'd been busy doing the previous weekend--painting a whole apartment, ready for new renters! She was generous and always kind. Know that she is always close to you in all of your memories and feel her presence around you.

It is with great sadness that we convey our condolences to Len and family on the passing of Gail, your beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and sister-in-law. May you find comfort in knowing her love and concern for each of you had no boundaries. Gail will be remembered for her love of entertaining, hospitality, and passion for endeavours she pursued, as well as the determination, courage, and perseverance in battling her illness. Forever cherished will be our memories of all we did together: vacations travelled, roads trips to quilt shows and quilt shops visited, concerts and dinner theatres attended, casual visits, and the almost daily phone or text conversations. Gail enjoyed a life well-lived but is gone too soon, and will be sorely missed. May her rest be peaceful.

My deepest condolences to you, Len & family on the loss of your dear Gail! What a special lady she was!
Gail's way of life truly exemplified the meaning of the word, "hospitality". There was not a single classmate that was not welcomed by her into her parents' home in her school days & this generous spirit continued throughout her life.
A gracious lady, our Gail, has now gone to be with the Angels but she left the world a better place, as a result of the way she lived her life!
I wish to say this to you, dear Gail ( like others have also) :
It was an HONOUR & PRIVILEGE to have known you !

Words do not convey the depth & breadth of loss of those who grieve. Like no two people on earth are the same, neither is the life journey of each individual. Gail respected God’s purpose for her. Gail lived following the model presented to her by loving parents, acknowledging their humble roots and continuing to live along their pathways; nurturing and passing on her Catholic Faith, Ukrainian heritage to her offspring, while ensuring that traditions were kept by sharing her talents through benevolent deeds, and unconditionally bonding her love with her husband Leonard and family. Gail’s kindness will forever remind me to return for her graces but how? By planting an extra row of carrots, or some of her favorite petunias, or making a bucket of pickles or perhaps an apple pie to share, or to visit the elderly and the less fortunate, but most of all to recycle resources to conserve our planet. Gail loved life and lived it to the fullest leaving a legacy of love, compassion and benevolence for her children, grandchildren, and community. Like the candle in the wind, Gail is gone, her deeds send a clear message and her spirit will live on. Gail, thank you for being in my life. God bless your Eternal Memory.

OMG!!!
What can one say in this small space? Gail was much bigger than this. I was sure that she would at least get to see 74 but alas, the Lord took her a month before. So glad I had a visit with her at Agri Days on August 19th. She looked good so it is hard to imagine her gone. Memories - going to Edmonton to see Queen Elizabeth, yearbook committee, double dating, surprise 16th birthday party, Las Vegas, Yuma.
Len - my heart goes out to you and your family.
Rest in peace, Gail. Love, Gloria Yasayko
