SNOWDON, James Jackson
October 2, 1947 – July 25, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of James Jackson Snowdon of Sherwood Park, Alberta on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the age of 75.
James (Jim) will be missed by his loving family, his wife of nearly 22 years, Brenda; children Anna, Erin (Alex), Nick and Kristina (Brendan); five grandchildren Mikayla, Bronson, Maddex, Addison and Nelly; sister Lynn (Eric) and brother Jackie (Liz); two brothers-in-law Rt. Rev. Stephan (Diana) and Robert; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada and across the UK. Jim is predeceased by his parents John and Mary Snowdon, mother-in-law Olga, and sister-in-law Judy (Terry).
Jim will be forever remembered as a vivacious man whose presence filled any room. His many talents and passions were truly astonishing. Jim’s love of the Blues was matched with his incredible voice; when he wasn’t out in front of the mic, he could often be found enjoying a glass of wine with Brenda while listening to his favourite tunes. Jim loved his motorcycle, and many weekends were spent out on a ride with the Harley crew. He was a proud, quick witted, lighthearted spirit who loved his family, friends, and living life to its fullest.
A private interment will be held at Holy Dormition Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery – Sich Kolomea. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Alzheimer Society of Alberta” or to the “Sich Kolomea Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”
