On Thursday, June 18, 2015, Helen Cheremshynski of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 102 years.
Helen is survived by her loving family, four sons and one daughter, Eddie (Evelyn), Sonia, David and Ernie (Jeanette); fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great great grandson; one brother Emil Korpan; daughter in law Diane Cheremshynski; along with numerous relatives and friends. Helen was predeceased by her husband Paul; granddaughter Brenda Prezanowski; son Ron; daughter in law Audrey; parents Kyrylo and Maria Korpan; two brothers Bill and Lloyd; six sisters Katherine (John) Komarnisky, Jean (Sid) Powley, Pauline, Albina (Steve) Chomiak; Olga (Pete) Kuly and Lillian (Fred) Halabut.
A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta with the Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the "Mary Immaculate Hospital (Mundare) Foundation" , "Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta" or "Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation."
