Obituary of David Hutchison

Hutchison, David Andrew November 2, 1933 – March 24, 2026 On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, our family is filled with sadness as we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, David (Dave) Andrew Hutchison of Vegreville Alberta at the age of 92 years. A man of strength and endless generosity, he lived a rich life with his family and friends. He is survived by his four children, Sandra (Ken) Morrison, Brenda (Glen) Ballard, Bradley (Wendy) Hutchison and Shelley Hutchison. Grandpa will be forever remembered and cherished by his six grandchildren, Kenneth (Lee) (Heather) Morrison, Bradley Morrison, Angela Ballard, Ashley (Michael) Leonard, David (Marissa) Hutchison and Karla Hutchison; fourteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Alex (Val) Hutchison, Donald (Heather) Hutchison; sisters Joan Sparks and Irene Leitheiser; sister in-laws Ann Hutchison and Sharon Hutchison. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 69 years, Angie. Dave will be forever remembered by his dry sense of humor, unwavering determination, love of family and his big hugs and kisses. He passed on to his family the knowledge that no meal is complete without dessert! A private Celebration of Life was held at the Royal Canadian Legion, followed by inurnment at the Riverside Cemetery in Vegreville Alberta. Memorial donations may be made to the “Canadian Cancer Society.” The family would like to thank all the staff and health care professionals at the Vegreville Manor and St. Joseph’s Hospital, for their excellent care and kindness shown to our dad over the years.
