Obituary of Willis E. Soprovich

SOPROVICH, Willis February 7, 1930 - March 21, 2026 On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Willis Soprovich of Hairy Hill, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 96. Willis, Father, Grandpa and Great Grandpa will be sadly missed and dearly remembered by his soulmate Rita of 70 years; his son Barry (Peggy); grandsons Zachary (Katrina) and their daughter Lorelai; Grayson (Ashley) and their daughter Emily; daughter Barbara (Marke); granddaughters Elana, Sara, Amy (Darren) and their children Hailey and Laura; daughter Shelly (Bill); granddaughter Amanda (Steve); and grandsons Kurt, Brandon and Sheldon. He is survived by his sister Rose; brother John (Reta); sister Jan (John); along with numerous nieces and nephews. Willis was predeceased by his parents Eli and Mary Soprovich. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Autumn Rose Funeral Home (5036 - 51 Ave) in Vegreville with Fr. Gheorghe Petrovan officiating. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church - Boian on the hill. Interment to follow in the church cemetery Memorial donations may be made towards the “St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Congregation of Boian (Boian church).”
