Obituary of Sharon McNaughton

Please share a memory of Sharon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
MCNAUGHTON, Sharon Kathleen December 13, 1941 – March 12, 2026 It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Sharon Kathleen McNaughton, on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her loving husband, Wendell, and life-long companion and sister, Terril. Sharon leaves to mourn the many people she cherished including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the countless friends she would call family. Born and raised in western Ontario, Sharon was no stranger to moving around and travelling, planting roots, building a community and family wherever she decided to land. Every day was a new adventure, and you just never knew where she was off to next. In possibly the greatest adventure of all, and after a few tries, Sharon met Wendell in 1975 on a blind date, where it was quite love at first sight and they were married that same year. She was always painting, sewing, crafting or building something new. And if she wasn’t, it was because she was thinking about what’s next. Sharon had the impeccable ability to make a huge impact on everyone she met, always lending a helping hand, an idea... or a getaway car. Her passing has left a huge hole in the lives of those who knew her and she will be forever missed. Family and friends are welcome to join in the Celebration of Sharon’s Life on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vegreville Royal Canadian Legion. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the “Vegreville Food Bank” in Sharon’s memory.
